La Spinona 2021 Langhe Chardonnay DOC

Nose: floral, cutrus, melon, pear.

Palate: clean full round fresh and lively.

Ferm: 30-40 days in stainless vats, natural yeast, bottles for 10 months in cellar.

No oak, very full bodied. Edged and steel. Big Mouthfull. Grapes are harvested at the ripest stage for fuller expression. From organically farmed vines in the Barbaresco region, this Chardonnay exudes the beauty of this grape planted in these special soils. Aromas of wild mint, roasted lemon and ripe apple all work in concert. Lush and rich, the palate has enough tension due to the acidity and texture, so the wine is not too fruit-forward. The wine finishes with finesse and vibrancy that highlight the minerality. — Jeff Porter
